My work lives at the intersection of curiosity, craftsmanship, and material.

I build mosaics, metalwork, and interactive optical sculpture, with a focus on etched brass kaleidoscopes, flameworking, and mosaic installations. The work ranges from intimate wearable pieces to larger architectural mosaics and collector-level optical objects, all driven by a fascination with how light moves through glass and metal and by the moment when order emerges from apparent chaos.

I studied Communication Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, where I trained in visual systems, typography, and the mechanics of how people read and navigate images. After Parsons, I spent many years as an art director and web developer, building visual identities and guiding complex projects from concept to finished piece. That background still underpins my studio practice, and I approach each kaleidoscope or mosaic as a designed environment, considered not only as an object but as an experience in the hand, on the wall, or in public space.

Teaching is also an important part of my practice. I lead kaleidoscope and mosaic classes, sharing both technical processes and the design thinking behind them. In the studio and classroom alike, I’m interested in giving people a way to see familiar materials differently, whether that is a shard of glass transformed into part of a larger field of color, or an optical instrument that turns a small movement of the hand into a shifting, luminous pattern.
